A Wild Start!

by Esther on 13 February 2022

Happy February!! I have not written in a long time. It has been a busy bit of time. I would love to continue these, but life has caught up to me in so many ways. There are many changes coming in my life and I hope to share all the secrets boiling in future newsletter.

School is going well! I have been promoted in production to help run the tv announcements which play through our live command center. It has been a somewhat slow start outside of that. I have been helping the musketeers (my mom’s name for Weston, Teo, and David) and Andrew a lot with setting up for shoots. We even build a set in our studio which is super cool. My other classes are going well. Those are mostly boring though, so not much to share regarding them.

My family is doing well. Justin came home for the week of Christmas. I originally planned to talk with him, but plans made that not happen. I can’t believe he will be graduating and heading to New York this May.  He’s gonna be adulting and so will I, which is still kinda odd for my parents. My parents are doing well. Both are somewhat unaccepting of this new area of life, but they’ll have to accept what’s happening eventually.

I have been busy. I got wisdom teeth removed, which happened when Justin was here. We thought I had some complications, but thankfully I didn’t. I still can’t use a straw though, which has been slightly inconvenient. I also took my first two ACT. I took one back in Dec. and decided to tutor with Cornerstone Academic. My tutor Hasan was really cool and we got through a lot. My most recent test was yesterday. I am praying my score will go up some. I have also been busy with tech as I am officially back with the tech team for Watershed. I am going to be on the tech team for Rush this summer. I am looking forward to tech, but the thought of actually being at Rush still terrifies me. I also got to meet with several friends this past few months. My friend Ali treated me to lunch as a Christmas present and it was really sweet. Apparently giving duck feet to a UGA student who studied a course on birds didn’t end well, but she was really brave and tried it. I also got to meet Alice. We both are weird and indecisive, so we hit it off really well. She treated me to some boba while we discussed college and life planning. The last friend I met over this time was a former classmate of mine, Joshua. Our families stayed in touch after they moved. He treated me to lunch, and we had a good time catching up.

One fun office family update I would love to share is Mama Jess (aka my boss. Both are interchangeable nicknames of hers) started to take the kiddos to church. Sadie loved KidsQuest. I am working on trying to get her to a point where she will sit through it without Jess or me there. Today, Jess joined her while I helped Janice. We also decided to try Asher downstairs today. He is in Elephants, and it sounds like he had a good time which I am so glad. I have my ringer on of course in case he did want to see Mama or me. Seeing the kiddos makes me happy because I don’t see them much. Thank you Jess for making the trek!  Also, Sadie met Andrew and absolutely loves him which makes me so happy. Today, Sadie was so determined to see Andrew to the point of asking me to drive her to him. Asher also met Andrew, but he wasn’t so sure about it. I think he wanted Mama so much he didn’t care, LOL.

Anyways, I hope you are doing well. Until next time!!
