When Things Happen

by Esther on 12 April 2021

Happy April!! March has been a wild ride. Comes with its highs and lows. I mentioned I got my license last time. I have been driving a lot since. My grandmother is well. She had a nanny helping her. That’s a drama that I don’t think needs to be in the limelight. Videography is doing well. I am very excited about all the stuff that is coming in the videography field. I have some fun projects coming. I won’t be sharing all of it though.

Now for new content. One there is crap that happened in my dgroup. I won’t go into specifics, but it just went into like a three-week problem. Every week there seems to be something new that comes up. One minute it’s like I am now dealing with this situation, then her friend is now having issues with me, and then to top it off, the other leader had to top it off with something which I found out was legally inappropriate. Yeah. I have decided to take a break from dgroup. I have learned that this situation has caused problems I don’t need right now. Of course, the day my leader is gone, the other leader (we have two leaders) had to pull her stunt. Which, I am even more shocked she has worked with student ministry elsewhere. What she said was something that I could bring to court if my family chose to, and when it hit that point, I was out. But I mean, student min is slightly pointless anyway cause their goal is to get kids to get in the habit of coming to church, but half my group aren’t there regularly, so….. Something doesn’t seem to align. Plus, I pull out my classic, just cause you say you're a Christian doesn’t mean you are. Not for me to judge, but what happens tells me.

Then after all that mess, I bring a good paragraph. I visited the office!! On Poisson D’avril too! (Josh I hope you get this now.) I have a video that comes out Saturday about it. Seeing Sadie and Asher was awesome. The two little angels of my life for sure! Jess, you have very fine kids; treasure the good stuff. Also seeing the rest of the fam was amazing. That was fun. I am no longer Matie, cause I guess Matie was a summer thing. Sadie even showed me how she puts shoes on. She is getting so big. I remember when she was about 10 months old and obsessed with Let it Go. The only reason why I know that song very well is because of hearing it every day for like 2 months. She is becoming a big girl and a good big sister. Asher is just the sweetest. He has grown so big since I first saw him as well.

And as for Josh’s reminder, I realised I never talked about someone very special in my life. Okay, maybe two people. My two best friends. My first bestie, Kalee, whom I now call the queen. She overwrites what others say. She’s the top of the top in my friend hierarchy. She is amazing and I finally got to see her on Easter Sunday after months of not seeing her. It’s been a while. We wrote letters, texted and zoomed, but it wasn’t the same as talking to them in person. That was fun. Sadly, she isn’t the friend Josh’s reminded me of, but I love her anyway. She is amazing! I wanted to highlight my other best friend, Andrew. I have known Andrew since I was in fifth grade, but we didn’t really start our friendship till this past summer. Andrew has been the main one to keep me company this year. Andrew is an amazing friend as well, and I couldn’t have asked more from God. Both my friends are truly gifts from God. I will be so sad a year from now cause they will both be going to Uni Fall of 2022.

And the last thing that happened is Punta Gorda, Florida! Last week was spring break for me. We drove down to Punta Gorda, south of Venice. We drove down Tuesday, which was funny. I was texting Andrew most of the time cause he was in LAS. When we were near the Tampa turnpike, we had to follow a sign going East which read Orlando, so my dad, “hey, text Andrew to tell him we are heading to Orlando.” I did, and we were both confused. Wednesday, we rode bikes and spent the morning at Fisherman’s Village (FV). I don’t think my parents have ever asked about a friend more than that day. Almost every hour, one parent would go, “How’s Andrew?” I kinda creeped out at this newfound interest from the parents. Not sure what that was about. Thursday, we went to Blind Pass Beach. I got sunburnt which was not fun. But I am fine now. Friday, we rode bikes back to FV. That evening we went to our friend's place for dinner. It was interesting. Once I adjusted to the people, I got to talk to El and Fiona Marie. Fiona Marie and I played Mexican Train which was fun. It was fun. We came home Saturday night. It was a long drive. Traffic was backed up.

And with that, it pretty much wraps my month. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a wonderful rest of April. Au revoir! Bonne Journée!

This episode’s rundown

Suggested…

Book

Tribulation Force by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins is the second book in the Left Behind series. Pastor and Author, Tim LaHaye shares his understanding of the end times through a fictional story of four people. Chloe, Buck, Bruce, and Rayford are left behind from God’s rapture. I know Randy Pope had something against this series and banned it from our church. I recommend it though cause whether it is accurate or not, it is something worth reading.

Video

I watched this video about inventions that are making the world greener. Though I am not a huge advocate for green stuff, it was super cool to see all the inventions.

Music

Friends to Lovers by Kevin Chung is a very good song. It has good rhythm and melodies. The music video is also amazing!
